Training Requirements for New Online Instructors
  • Beginning with the Fall 2008 semester, faculty teaching online courses at TNCC must have completed VCCS TOP (Teaching Online Program) or provide documentation of completion for a Distance Learning training program (to be approved by the Director of Distance Learning).
  • All faculty who have successfully taught online courses at TNCC prior to the Fall 2008 term are provisionally approved to continue teaching online.
  • Certificates of completion or documentation must be on file with the Office of Distance Learning prior to a faculty member’s assignment to an online class.
