Training Requirements for
New Online Instructors

Beginning with the Fall 2008
semester, faculty teaching
online courses at TNCC must
have completed VCCS TOP
(Teaching Online Program) or
provide documentation of
completion for a Distance
Learning training program
(to be approved by the
Director of Distance
Learning).

All faculty who have
successfully taught online
courses at TNCC prior to the
Fall 2008 term are
provisionally approved to
continue teaching online.

Certificates of completion
or documentation must be on
file with the Office of
Distance Learning prior to a
faculty member’s assignment
to an online class.
