Personal Interests

As a teenager growing up in Ohio, I had many motor scooters and have lots of fond memories of them and my scooter buddies. We were always taking them apart to try to get them to go just a little faster.

My favorite scooter was the Cushman Eagle. It had a eight horsepower 4-cycle engine and a two speed transmission. It was easy to work on and fairly reliable.

Even though they stopped making Cushman scooters in the mid 1960's, I recently discovered that they are still available, and many people who grew up in the 50's and 60's are restoring them.

To make a long story short, I was lucky to find a Cushman Eagle that was the same year as the one I had as a kid and was in decent shape. After spending some time, I was able to restore it to its new condition. Below are some pictures. If you find this interesting, click here for the website of the Cushman Club of America. Enjoy!
