Spring 2007 Classes

The following classes are being taught by me during the Spring 2007 semester. Click on the class of interest.

ITD 220-D01 [E-Commerce Administration] (Online using Blackboard)
Prerequisites: ITE 115, ITE 160 recommended. Emphasizes techniques to plan and to design a platform-independent commerce Web site. Focuses on web business strategies, and the hardware and software tools necessary for Internet commerce, including comparison and selection of commerce architecture, installation and configuration, security considerations, and planning of a complete business-to-consumer and business-to-business site. Lecture 3 hours per week. 3 Semester Credits. (Currently being taught online using Blackboard as the virtual classroom software. ITE 115-01W [Introduction to Computer Concepts and Applications] (Classroom)
Pre-requisite: ENG 05. Co-requisite: MTH 03 or MTH 120. Provides a working introduction to microcomputer software, fundamentals, and applications. Includes operating systems, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Lecture 3 hours per week. 3 Semester Credits.   (Supplemented with using Blackboard as the virtual classroom software. Enter the classroom and use your Blackboard user name and password.) Classroom meetings: Monday and Wednesday, Room W119, 11:00pm-12:15pm.

 
ITE 130-01H & D01 [Introduction to Internet Services] (Classroom & Online using Blackboard)
Prerequisites: ENG 05. Provides instruction to provide students with a working knowledge of Internet terminology and services including e-mail, WWW browsing, search engines, ftp, file compression, and other services using a variety of software packages. This course provides instruction for basic web page construction. Lecture 3 hours per week. 3 Semester Credits. (Currently being taught online using Blackboard as the virtual classroom software. Enter the classroom by clicking on the link Enter Class and use your Blackboard user name and password.) Classroom meetings: Tuesday and Thursday, Room 742, Hampton III, 11:00pm-12:15pm.
ITN 100-D01 [Introduction to Telecommunications] (Online using Blackboard)
Prerequisites: ITE 100. Surveys data transmission systems, communication lines, data sets, network, interfacing, protocols, and modes of transmission. Course content emphasizes network structure and operation. Lecture 3 hours per week.3 Semester Credits. (Currently being taught online using Blackboard as the virtual classroom software. ITP 100-D01 [Software Design] (Online using Blackboard)
Prerequisites: ENG 05 and ITE 100. Introduces principles and practices of software development. Course content includes instruction in critical thinking, problem solving skills, and essential programming logic in structured and object-oriented design using contemporary tools. Lecture 3 hours per week.3 Semester Credits. (Currently being taught online using Blackboard as the virtual classroom software. ITP 258-D01 [Systems Development Project] (Online using Blackboard)
Prerequisites: 18 credits completed in IT courses. Provides instruction in application of life cycle system development methodologies using a case study which incorporates feasibility study system analysis, system design, program specification, and implementation planning. Course project assignment(s) will have students perform as members of system development teams. 3 Semester Credits. (Currently being taught online using Blackboard as the virtual classroom software.
