To save your MSWord documents to make them compatible with the Geocities’ PageBuilder follow these steps.

• Click on the “File” menu.
• Select “Save as” rather than “Save as a web page”
• In the “Save as type” box, click on the down arrow
• Then select “Web Page, Filtered”
• Change the document name so that there are no spaces or capital letters in it, and change the extension from “.htm” to “.html”.  If the extension does not appear on the document name line, then just type “.html” at the end of the document name.
• With the “.html” extension, you can upload the file from the Geocities PageBuilder itself.

If you do not make your webfolio on your own, outside of class, at least make sure that you have saved all four of your essays in this .html format before coming to class to finish the webfolio. We will have a webfolio workshop on Tuesday, 12/14 from noon until 1:45, and if there are any other times in the next week that the 916 classroom is available to me, I will post them on the daily schedule and I will invite you to join me for additional webfolio workshop time.  But relax, folks, because this is not going to be difficult.
